Hosta 'Dancing Queen'
LARGE 24" high by 40" wide
Sun tolerant
(K. Terpening, 2005) We are thrilled to be able to offer this exceptionally unique large, yellow hosta from Kent Terpening. Unlike other yellow hostas which emerge or turn chartreuse, ‘Dancing Queen’ emerges bright yellow and remains yellow all season long. The large leaves have a prominent pie crust edge, adding even more pizzazz to this colorful hosta. In mid to late summer, the foliage lightens to soft yellow and the clump is topped with pale lavender flowers. This one is a must-have!

Hosta 'Dancing Stars'
LARGE 24" high by 40" wide
Slug resistant
An improvement over ‘Dancing in the Rain’. ‘Dancing Stars’ has all the great qualities of its parent, including a crisp white center (emerges cream) and sharply contrasting blue-green margins. However, you’ll appreciate that this new introduction is a stronger grower with wider margins and foliage of much thicker substance. The attractive foliage forms a large mound topped with light lavender flowers on white scapes in midsummer.

Hosta 'Frosted Dimples'
MEDIUM 12" high by 32" wide
Slug tolerant
(D. Dean 99) Near white flowers. Elongated heart-shaped, blue leaves are edged with a crisp, creamy border. Thick leaves have a 'pebbled' surface, and hold their blue colouration well. This is an intense blue and has a irregular gold edge to off set the rich blue. The edge becomes a strong creamy yellow rather than white as the season progresses. The mound has a very 'flat presentation' rising only 12" fit for the front of a border and grows to 32" diameter. Another attention getter during the AHS 2000 tours in Minneapolis. Selected in part for the way it holds its blue color into the late fall.

Hosta 'Gitchigumi' NEW 2014
LARGE 28” high by 48” wide
Slug resistant
(O. Petryszyn 2010) Adding to the Americana series, this time the hybridizer honors Minnesota. Matching the cool fluid surface of this leaf brings a large blue lake to mind. The native Ojibwe language refers to Lake Superior as Gitchigumi, meaning big water. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote about the lake in The Song of Hiawatha. The large shiny round blue leaves hold quite horizontally and are slightly seer suckered. The blue value seems unique. If you imagine white caps in the wind, you can see the white glaucous underside. The white bell shaped flowers are huge and heavily budded. Gloriously peaceful and soft on the eyes.
