'Dark Shadows' (H. Hansen, 2004) Large hosta. 'Dark Shadows' features thick heart-shaped leaves with a gently ruffled edge. In early spring the emerging blue leaves have an uneven chartreuse-yellow margin which changes to green by early summer. Pale lavender flowers top the large clump in early summer. 'Dawn's Early Light' (O. Petryszyn, 1998) Large hosta. Hosta that truly shines and is visible from a great distance in the spring. Brilliant lemon-yellow heart-shaped leaves are wonderfully ruffled and corrugated. In early summer light lavender flowers top the mound of foliage as the leaves darken to chartreuse-green. For intense dramatic spring color this hosta can not be beat! $17.00
'Deane's Dream' (Solberg 2000) (‘Blue Arrow’ X ‘Sea Fire’) - NEW 2010 Medium upright mound of pointed blue leaves that are a unique aqua or green turquoise in color, with bright purple petioles up to the leaf blade; lavender flowers in July. 'Deep Blue Sea' (Seaver 1994) Medium 13" high by 30" wide. Very thick, rich dark blue, intensely corrugated and puckered; edge flat, distinctly cupped, nearly round. Grow in good light to dappled shade. A superb blue that keeps its colour. Slug resistant. $20.00

'Dragon Tails' (W. Zumbar, NR) Dwarf hosta. 'Dragon Tails' forms a fast growing clump of long, narrow yellow leaves with a wonderful miniature wavy edge. 'Dream Weaver' (Ruetenik/Walek 96) Large 18" high by 36" wide. 'Extasy' (H. Hansen, PPR Asserted) Small to Medium hosta. The creamy-white wedged-shaped leaves of 'Extasy' are margined with a wide, blue-green edge. 'Flemish Sky' Medium sized hosta. Glaucous blue leaves of heavy substance. Broad, pointed leaf shape with wavy margins and light cupping. 'Fragrant Bouquet' (Aden 82) Large 22" high by 36" wide, fragrant white flowers. Chartreuse to apple green, widely margined yellow to creamy-white, satiny, some dimpling, conspicuously veined; edge widely undulate, convex, heart shaped. Site in light shade to full sun, to produce the best leaf colours and the most prolific display of flowers. 1998 AHG Hosta of the year. Sun tolerant. $15.00
'Fragrant Dream' (Marco Fransen) Large 26" high by 40" wide. Fragrant flowers. Dark green leaves; bright yellow border changes to white; smooth texture. 'Fragrant Bouquet' sport with much darker center and brighter yellow margin. Sun tolerant. $15.00
'Fragrant King' Another sport originating from the wonderful 'Fragrant Bouquet'. All are luxuriant, fast growing large clumps with large fragrant near white flowers. Sun tolerant. $15.00
'Francee' (Klopping 86) Large 21" high by 48" wide. Rich dark green, crisply and narrowly margined white with some transitional celadon streaks, dimpled when mature; edge almost flat, heart shaped. Will tolerate morning sun and more but leaf colour will fade to pale olive-green. A classic hosta. Sun tolerant. $10.00
'Frances Williams' (William 86) Giant 32" high by 50" wide, near white flowers. Leaf blade 12" by 11". Thick, waxy blue covering, blue-green widely and irregularly margined yellow turning creamy beige, corrugated, strongly veined; edge almost flat, cupped, heart shaped and folded. 'Frost Giant' NEW 2010 (W. Lefever, Solberg 2008) - (‘Galaxy’ seedling) - Large, (28” X 66” or more) Big blue-green, sturdy, leaves that have a bright yellow margin that becomes cream in late summer make this a very stately hosta. 'Frosted Dimples' (D. Dean 99) Small 10" high by 20" wide. Near white flowers. Elongated heart-shaped, blue leaves are edged with a crisp, creamy border. Thick leaves have a 'pebbled' surface, and hold their blue colouration well. Slug resistant. $17.00
'Frosted Jade' (Maroushek 78) Giant hosta 30" high by 60" wide. Leaf blade 14" by 10". Good substance, dark sage-green, narrowly and irregularly margined pure white with some transitional celadon streaks, strongly veined; edge closely rippled, heart shaped. 'Frosted Mouse Ears' 7” high by 18” wide. Leaf detail: 2 1/2” long by 2 1/4” wide; blue-green to dark green in the center with a wide, creamy white margin (yellow early); thick substance. 'Ghost Spirit' (C. Isaacs 99) Medium 20" high by 42" wide. Thick, smooth, pure white, with streaking and misting in creamy white soon appearing, widely margined blue-grey, dimpled; edge rippled and twisted, folded, heart shaped. 'Glory Hallelujah' NEW! (Hans Hansen, 2007) M 'Glory Hallelujah', a reverse variegated sport of the classic 'Paul's Glory'. Broadly heart-shaped leaves are dark blue-green and are margined by a nice yellow edge. Pale lavender flowers open midsummer on proportionate flower scapes. 'Gold Edger' 12" high by 30" wide. Leaf Detail: 5" long by 3 1/2" wide; chartreuse color early, changing to gold by mid-summer; average substance. 'Gold Standard' (Banyai 76) 24" high by 50" wide. So named for its warm golden yellow leaf center trimmed by deep green on the edges. Performs best in shade with little sun, and moderate to high watering. The funnel shaped lavender flower will appear throughout July and August. This is one of the best and most popular of all the Hosta. Sun tolerant. $12.00
'Golden Friendship' (Hideko Gowen) Medium 19" high by 30" wide. Round, cupped, leathery, golden foliage with a unique, twisty point to the leaves. The heavily-waxed leaves give a white appearance to the back of the foliage. Although the leaves emerge chartreuse green, they brighten to a brilliant golden yellow that holds until frost. In midsummer, the clumps are topped with light lavender flowers.Chartreuse colour becoming medium gold; smooth; thick. Striking unusual gold hosta. Slug resistant. Sun tolerant. $12.00

'Grand Tiara' (Pollick 92) Medium 14" high by 36" wide, purple flowers. Thick, mid-green, very widely and irregularly margined chartreuse to yellow, later fading to ivory, some dimpling, widely spaced veins; edge almost flat, oval to heart shaped. 'Great Expectations' (Bond/Aden 88) Large 24" high by 48" wide, near white flowers. Beautiful large round puckered leaves with wide, irregular streaking margins of blue and light green (up to seven different colours); leaf centers begin gold and changing to cream. 'Green Mouse Ears' Dwarf hosta, 8" high by 18" wide. Leaf detail: 2 1/2" long by 2 1/4" wide; medium to dark green; round; thick substance. Flowering: pale purple flowers open in dense clusters in July on foot-high scapes. Another great Emile Deckert find (2004 AHS registration); the perfect companion in the garden for 'Blue Mouse Ears'; small, thick-substanced foliage in a rich green color with attractive clusters of purple flowers in July; great as a low edger, rock garden plant, or in troughs. 'Greensleeves' 18” high by 40” wide. Leaf detail: 9” long by 7” wide; creamy yellow to white-centered with a dark green margin. 'Guardian Angel' (Thompson) Giant 28" high by 55" wide, near white flowers. Leaf blade 16" by 10". Thick, emerging greenish white turning light blue-green and finally mid-green, widely and irregularly margined dark blue-green, with streaks jetting toward the midrib, dimpled, prominently veined; edge conspicuously rippled with a twisted tip, folded, heart shaped.
