'Lakeside Cupcake' SMALL (10" high by 20" wide.) This striking small hosta from the breeding program of Mary Chastain forms a small, 5" tall x 12" wide clump. The thick, heavily cupped and corrugated leaves are creamy white in the center with a 1.5" wide, blue-green border. The clumps are topped with short 1' tall spikes of near white flowers in late spring. Slug resistant. $17.00

'Lakeside Shore Master' (Chastain) LARGE (25" high by 56" wide.) Leaf blade 10" by 8". Hosta 'Lakeside Shore Master' is truly a master of the garden. The clump emerges with blue leaves but they quickly develop rich yellow centers that improve with the rigors of summer. Heavy substance and near-white flowers make this a striking plant. It is a 1998 introduction and the parentage is unknown. It is fast growing and makes a mound-like habit. Slug resistant and sun tolerant. $17.00

'Lederhosen' (Benedict) LARGE 17" high by 45" wide. Fragrant, purple flowers. Thick elongated leaves have a wavy margin and forms a nice mound shaped plant. Tough leather-like substance, grayish-blue leaves. 'Lederhosen' is German for "Leather Britches" and the tough leather-like substance of the foliage reminded the late Dr. Benedict of the name. Plant this vigorous variety along a path where you may appreciate the fragrance and beauty of the flowers. Slug resistant. $17.00

Leaf Detail: 3 3/4” long by 2 ½” wide; bright yellow color (emerges chartreuse); slightly shiny; smooth texture; wavy; average substance. Flowering: medium purple flowers open on 10-16” scapes. 'Liberty' (Machen 00) GIANT (26" high by 63" wide.) When John Machen of Mobjack Nurseries in Virginia first displayed this plant at the 2000 American Hosta Society Convention it was without question the hit of the show. 'Liberty' is a sport of 'Sagae', with thicker leaves and a wider yellow margin that turns creamy white in summer. In all other respects, the plant appears to be the same as 'Sagae'. The margin gets wider as the plant matures. Sun tolerant.

'Lime Smoothie' LARGE (22" high by 48" wide.) (W. Lefever, Solberg 2008) (‘Galaxy’ seedling) - Large, (22” X 48”) This is not just another variegated hosta! Its undulating leaves have waxy green centers and broad, lime green borders that become cream colored in late summer, a very unique coloration. Light lavender flowers in June and July. 'Limey Lisa' (W. Zumbar) DWARF (6" high by 21" wide.) Leaves thick, green-chartreuse, satiny; widely spaced veins, dimpled; slightly cupped, round to spoon shaped. Spoon cupped tiny leaves that remain lime-green. Small size and compact habit. A delightful clump of tiny heart-shaped lime-green leaves--a good grower and a great little mini. 'Little Miss Sunshine' SMALL (11" high by 20" wide.) This cute wavy leafed, gold hosta would look great in patio containers mixed with purple Heucheras and Carex ‘Evergold’. It is a fast grower that is sure not to disappoint! In the spring, the foliage emerges chartreuse but intensifies to bright gold as the season progresses. It tolerates some sun which helps to bring out the yellow coloring. This is a refreshing change from many gold hostas which turn green later in the season. Light purple flowers are held on wonderfully contrasting, deep wine red scapes in midsummer. $17.00

Upwardly poised, very cupped leaves, so the underside of the leaf is often visible. Good light to light shade all day. One of the most popular of all hostas. Sun tolerant. 'Loyalist' (Falstad 98) MEDIUM (12" high by 27" wide.) The show-stopping reverse variegation of the famous Hosta 'Patriot'. This plant has much heavier leaves, probably the result of being a tetraploid. The leaf margin is deep green and the leaf center is nearly pure white, and is not prone to melting out. The flowers are lavender on cream-white stems in mid-summer. One of the best white centered hosta to arrive on the gardening scene in over 25 years. Sun tolerant. $17.00

'Luna Moth' MEDIUM (18" high by 30" wide.) “Foolproof” and easy to grow, this is a great selection for beginner gardeners or those who are just looking for a beautiful, worry-free hosta. ‘Luna Moth’ is a sport of the vigorous ‘Parky’s Prize’ but with thicker substance and wider margins. Dark green, heart-shaped leaves emerge with light green margins which brighten to yellow in summer. This hosta grows quickly to form a nice symmetrical clump in the landscape. Lavender flowers are produced on perfectly proportional scapes in early summer. $20.00

'Margie's Angel' MEDIUM (16" high by 36" wide.) (Solberg 2007) (‘Heart Throb’ seedling) - Medium, (16” X 36”) This unusual hosta exhibits excellent color, yellow-gold leaf centers with dark green margins, and a very sturdy, flat pointed leaf. It likes shade and will brighten up a cool, moist corner. Near white flowers in June. $20.00

'Marilyn Monroe' (J. Hawes, NR) MEDIUM (17" high by 36" wide.) The elongated heart-shaped leaves of 'Marilyn Monroe' are accented by a beautiful ruffled edge. 'Maui Buttercups' (Vaughn, 1991) SMALL (12" high by 24" wide.) 'Maui Buttercups' was registered by Bill Vaughn in 1991. The parentage is 'Frances Williams' x 'August Moon'. The rounded, medium yellow leaves are cupped and rugose with a leathery substance that gives them a sculptural quality in the garden. The flowers are light violet and flared. The plant grows quite slowly at first but finally attains an average growth rate. An upward facing mound. $17.00

'Mighty Mouse' DWARF (6" high by 15" wide.) This small but mighty hosta is a variegated sport of the award winning Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears'. In spring, the rounded leaves of heavy substance are blue-green with a creamy yellow margin. By summer, the leaves transition to grey-green with a creamy white margin. Incredible substance. Lavender flowers on perfectly proportioned scapes appear in early summer. $17.00

'Millenium' GIANT (36" high by 80" wide.) (Wilkins 1995) (‘Herb Benedict’ X ‘Sagae’) - Huge (36” X 80”) One of the best extremely large blue hostas because of its huge heavily substanced, rounded, dark blue leaves, good growth rate and heat tolerance. 'Mississippi Delta' (O. Petryszyn, 98) GIANT (24" high by 50' wide.) Leaf blade 13" by 12". Very thick, rubbery, blue-grey, dimpled and puckered; edge slightly undulate, flat to shallowly cupped, nearly round. Large blue-grey leaves displayed horizontally; deeply impressed veins. 'Niagara Falls' (Brinka/Petryszyn 91) LARGE (33" high by 60" wide.) Leaf blade 15" by 9". Thick, dark green, smooth, deeply impressed veins; edge with small, even ripples, arching, widely oblong to oval. Dark leaves develop a beautiful sheen; piecrust edge develops with age. Winner of 3 awards in 1999, "Best Green Leaf". Slug resistant. $17.00

'Night Before Christmas' (Machem 94) LARGE (25" high by 63" wide.) White, widely and irregularly margined dark olive-green with some streaks jetting to the midrib, satiny, some dimpling, widely spaced veins; edge slightly rippled, undulate to twisting; oval with a cuspidate tip. One of the best white centered hosta cultivars. 'Night Before Christmas', from John Machen (1994), is a sport of 'White Christmas'. Sun tolerant. $17.00

'Night Shift' NEW 2012 LARGE 22” high by 50” wide; low and spreading Leaf Detail: 11” long by 8” wide; bright gold center, ¼” to ½” wide, dark green margin; wavy; good substance. Flowering: lavender flowers produced at the ends of three-foot long scapes that droop horizontally. Comments: the one that many hostaphiles have been waiting for; Dennis Savory sport of ‘Daybreak’ registered in 1991, but not available until now; leaf margin fairly narrow, but still offers an attractive contrast to the bright gold center. $20.00

'Northern Exposure' (Walters Gardens 1997) GIANT (28" high by 74" wide.) White flowers; Leaf blade 13" by 12". 'Northern Exposure' is a large sport of sieboldiana 'Elegans'. It is a selection from the several different white-margined sports that were named 'Northern Halo'. It is considered the most attractive one. The leaves are puckered and blue-green in color with very wide yellow-green margins which change to cream-white as the summer progresses. They are ovate with a cordate base. The margins are flat. The flowers are near-white and tubular. It was registered out of Walters Gardens in 1997. Slug resistant. $17.00
