'Sagae' (AHS 87) Giant hosta 31" high by 70" wide. Leaf blade 14" by 10". Thick, smooth blue-tinted mid-green turning grey-green, widely and irregularly margined bright yellow turning creamy white with celadon streaks, widely spaced veins; edge widely undulate, flat to slightly folded, widely oval with a cuspidate tip. 'A.M.G. Hosta of the Year 2000'. Has an upright habit and gradually makes a huge specimen. Sun tolerant. Slug resistant. $15.00 and $20.00

'Salute' (Benedict 95) Medium 18" high by 36" wide. From Herb Benedict's breeding line of H. 'Dorset Blue', comes this 4th generation seedling. H. 'Salute' is a uniquely upright grower in the habit of a dwarf H. 'Krossa Regal'. Each 8" long x 4" wide slightly wavy leaf of powdery blue color is held upright on this compact clump. In early summer, the wide clump is topped with 2' scapes of nearly white flowers... .very unique! $15.00

'Satisfaction' (C. Wasitis) Large 26" high by 60" wide. This sport of the classic H. 'Piedmont Gold' has a large, dark green pointed leaf, surrounded by a wide, wavy, brilliant golden band that covers nearly 1/3 of the leaf. In summer, the clumps are topped with 30" stems of near white flowers. This is truly one of the most stunning hostas to hit the market in years! Has a huge margin and produces an arching mound. 'Seducer' NEW 2010 20" high by 44" wide. Large sized hosta with broadly, ovate leaves. Leaves are dark green with a slightly ruffled, gold margin and a trace of white between the center and margin. 'September Sun' (Solberg 85) Large 22" high by 52" wide. Thick, golden yellow widely margined mid-green with occasional streaks, corrugated, conspicuously veined; edge slightly undulate, slightly cupped or convex, widely oval with cuspidate tip. 'Silver Threads and Golden Needles' (Anderson) Dwarf hosta 6" high by 15" wide. The history of the plant is 'Cheatin Hearts' begat 'Illicit Affair' which begat 'Stolen Kiss' which begat 'Silver Threads and Golden Needles'. The chartreuse yellow leaves have an unusual central pattern of green that takes up 80% of the leaf area. The green is then overlain with a white frosting. The clumps are topped with 8" stalks of light lavender flowers in late spring. $20.00

'Singing In The Rain' (Walters Gardens) 30" high by 70" wide. A Walters Gardens, Inc. exclusive introduction! A reverse sport of 'Dancing in the Rain' PP15977 which is from 'Blue Umbrellas'. Broadly ovate leaves with a pointed tip emerge blue- green with a narrow, chartreuse margin that brightens to gold as the season progresses. 'Spartacus' H. Hansen/Shady Oaks Nursery, Reg. Pending) 26" high by 58" wide. Hosta 'Spartacus' features elongated heart-shaped leaves with a series of light ripples along the leaf edges. This sport of 'Sea Gulf Stream' maintains the leaf shape and plant habit of the parent except it has a dark green leaf center and a narrow yellow edge, accentuating the rippled leaf margin. Pale lavender flowers open on arching scapes in late June. Named after the gladiator slave who led an uprising to over throw his captors in ancient Rome and became an ancient folk hero. 'Striptease' (Thompson 91) Large 20" high by 50" wide, violet flowers. This unique introduction is one that seemingly attracts all types of gardeners. This strange mutation of H. 'Gold Standard' has a durable dark green H. 'Fortunei'-like leaf, but with a unique strip of white in the center of each leaf. Alongside the white center is a narrow golden band between it and the green. The band is often not seen in young plants, but does seem to develop with age. This is one truly spectacular plant. Sun tolerant. Hosta of the Year 2005. $20.00

'Summer Breeze' (Zilis 99) Large 19" high by 45" wide. Leaf blade 8" by 7". This sensational introduction from Mark Zilis, a sport of the popular H. 'Summer Music', is undoubtedly destined for greatness! The central pattern of the rounded leaves is dark green, bordered by a dazzling 1.5" wide bright golden border. 'Sunlight Child' (R.H. Benedict, 1991) Dwarf hosta, 5" high by 15" wide. This choice minature from the late Dr. Benedict has been passed around for over a decade, but has always remained rare. Little shiny yellow leaves comprise a nice tiny clump that is typed by lavender flowers in early summer. This hosta works well in the rock garden or a trough where its interesting form may be fully appreciated. 'Sunlight Child' is Hideko Gowen's English translation of her Japanese name. $12.00

'Sweet Innocence' (H. Hansen/Shady Oaks Nursery, NR) 22" high by 40" wide. 'Sweet Innocence' is the tetraploid form of 'Fragrant Bouquet'. Like 'Fragrant Bouquet', 'Sweet Innocence' has heart-shaped apple-green leaves, but with a much wider leaf margin. On mature plants, the leaves are dome-shaped rather than flat like 'Fragrant Bouquet'. A specimen hosta for bright, filtered sun. Large fragrant near-white flowers perfume the late summer air, and have wide petals. Sun tolerant. $20.00

'Tears of Joy' NEW! (Sebright Gardens, 2005) 4" high by 12" wide. Mini Thomas Johnson's unique sport of H. 'Tiny Tears'. Award winning debut at the 1997 Indianapolis Hosta Convention. This vigorous miniature hosta is comprised of medium-green lance-shaped leaves that are folded somewhat remeniscent to H. 'Praying Hands'. An excellent candidate for the shaded rock garden or for container planting. Tiny purple flowers top the clump in midsummer. $12.00

'Teaspoon' (F. Nyikos) Dwarf hosta,11" high by 24" wide. Small leaves, bright mid-green, dimpled; edge irregularly serrated, cupped, folded, widely oval with a mucronate tip. Leaves have a fancied resemblance to a teaspoon. One of the most admired hostas in my garden. $15.00

'Teeny Weenie Bikini' (E. Elslager, 2000) Dwarf hosta, 4" high by 9" wide. Ed Elslager's charming white centered miniature hosta is great for adding color to the rock garden or tucked into a trough garden. Tiny wedge-shaped yellow leaves (change to cream) are margined with a dark green edge. Tiny lavender flowers hover above the clump in mid to latesummer. $15.00

'Tequila Sunrise' 16" high by 36" wide. Leaves: 8" x 3½", become greenish-yellow. Flowers: dark smokey purple. 'The Razor's Edge' 8" high by 15" wide. An upright habit draws attention to the extremely bright red petioles of the long, ruffled, lance shaped, green leaves. The foliage is of average to good substance and the petioles deepen to dark red as the season progresses. Average to fast grower in the landscape. Lavender flowers are produced in midsummer. Looks fantastic in troughs and other small containers where its unique qualities can be showcased. Award: Blue Ribbon at First Look 2005. Registered by Terpening. $15.00

'Thunderbolt' (PlantHaven) Large 20" high by 40" wide, fragrant white flowers. Leaf blade 9" by 8". You'll find this wonderful new sport of H. sieboldiana 'Elegans' a must for every garden: heavily corrugated leaves have wide blue-green margins with a narrow center that is creamy-yellow in the spring and turns to white by summer. A vigorous grower with extremely heavy substance (probably a tetraploid) and topped with white flowers. Colours best in light shade. With its smaller size and good growth rate, it is ideal for use as an edging plant in the woodland garden. Pale lavender flowers open in midsummer. A 'Gold Drop' Sport. $15.00

'Tiny Tears' 6" high by 21" wide. Medium green; tear-drop shape. Flowering: medium purple flowers open from early to late July on 12-20" scapes. Comments: small, dense mound of green foliage; that makes an excellent edger or rock garden plant; H. venusta-type plant. $15.00

'Titanic' (H. Hansen/Shady Oaks Nursery, 1999) Giant hosta, 30" high by 72" wide. This is a very large plant, four to five feet across once it matures. It has a solid green center with a real wide gold band around it. With a name like H. 'Titanic', you can imagine how big this hosta will become. Old clumps should easily surpass the 9' record of its parent H. 'Sum and Substance'. This sport of H. 'Sum and Substance' boasts a very wide golden border surrounding the glossy chartreuse-green center, even when young. It is far more dramatic than the first-introduced edged forms of H. 'Sum and Substance". This should only be planted where space is not a problem. The clumps are topped with large light lavender flowers in midsummer. Sun tolerant. Slug resistant. $20.00

Thick, glaucous, blue with a wide irregular yellow to beige margin with streaks jetting to the midrib, corrugated; edge flat to slightly undulate, shallowly cupped, widely oval with a cuspidate tip. Slug resistant. A classic hosta, doesn't scorch. $20.00

'Blue Cadet' from Bob Solberg with a unique two tone colored leaf margin blue green leaves are perfectly heart-shaped and surrounded by a white irregular band on the inside and a creamy green band on the outside. Excellent substance and topped with pale lavender flowers in June. $20.00
