HEMEROCALLIS (Daylilies) Full sun to
part shade Z 2 - 9
Dayliles have been a garden favourite since Victorian days and are
one of the most valued and dependable of all garden perennials. All
prefer full sun or part shade and are very long lived. By choosing
varieties that bloom at different times you can extend the flowering
season from May through late September. The growth in the diversity of
bloom size and colour has been fascinating with the collector now
being able to choose from over 40,000 varieties. Daylilies are
suitable for planting in perennial and shrub borders, massing as a
groundcover or for planting in large containers. Several are also very
fragrant.
