Aptly named, it produces 5.5", russet red-orange (some describe it as chestnut) blossoms with a deep burgundy eye and gold throat atop strong, well-branched and budded scapes. The broad, rounded, ruffled petals open wide to reveal the perfect flower form. It’s even fragrant! A highly attractive daylily not to be missed!
Dormant tetraploid. Extended bloom.
This is considered a premium daylily, which means that it has been selected as highly performing plant with exceptional bloom performance, substantive, vibrantly colored flowers, complete winter hardiness in northern zones, and a vigorous habit.
